Job Requirements
- At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- or a 4-year college degree and 4 to 5 years related experience
- or a 2-year college degree and 5 to 6 years related experience
- Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and guests
- Effectively listen to, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
- Approach all encounters in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner
- Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
- Participate in Management On Duty coverage as required
- Maintain regular attendance per scheduling needs
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Proven leadership and management skills in hospitality
- Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and forecasts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and motivate teams
- Experience in sales and client relationship management
- Proficiency in hotel management software and revenue management tools

Job Duties
- Tour the operating departments daily, making adjustments as needed via department heads
- Conduct weekly staff meetings and training sessions according to Highgate Hotel standards
- Meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs in a timely fashion
- Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers and supervisors
- Ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity levels and adherence to accounting procedures
- Develop managers for future advancement through competency and corporate training programs
- Conduct daily meetings with sales teams to drive prospecting and account management
- Play a key role in hotel sales efforts including client engagement and hosting events
- Participate in Management On Duty coverage as scheduled
- Monitor and support the development of management trainees
- Adhere to Highgate Hotel policies and train managers to ensure compliance
- Assist in the budget process and financial forecasting
- Ensure service standard training and compliance with Highgate’s Garden Standard of the Week
- Create a positive team-oriented environment focused on guest satisfaction and employee motivation
- Inspect rooms regularly with Housekeeping and Engineering managers
- Ensure prompt processing of invoices and financial documentation
- Manage cleanliness and maintenance of the property through inspections and maintenance programs
- Maintain attentive, friendly, courteous, and efficient interactions with guests and employees
- Prepare and conduct interviews and hiring procedures in compliance with company SOPs
- Perform performance appraisals and administer disciplinary actions following company policies
- Meet clients and assist in sales efforts on property
- Ensure security procedures are followed including safe audits
- Participate in credit meetings and manage credit and collection policies
- Complete required corporate training and certify others as required
- Ensure all scheduled meetings take place on property
