The role of General Manager at Chipotle is not just another management position but a pivotal leadership opportunity within a fast-growing and innovative food company. In this role, Managers will take complete ownership of their restaurant's performance, which includes overseeing recruitment, training crew members and shift leaders, enforcing food safety and operational compliance, and managing financials such as sales forecasting and profit and loss control. The General Manager ensures a clean and guest-ready dining environment and handles the scheduling and operational activities during all open hours, including lunch, dinner, and weekends. Since the position requires a hands-on approach, the role demands excellent leadership skills, creative problem-solving, and the ability to inspire and develop others in a fast-paced environment.

Chipotle offers a competitive base salary ranging from $66,000 to $93,000 annually, with additional eligibility for quarterly performance-based bonuses. Job Requirements

  • Previous restaurant management experience
  • Ability to stand and walk for 10 hours a day
  • Ability to lift 50lbs/25kgs
  • Willingness to work lunch, dinner, and weekend shifts
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in varied temperature environments
  • Commitment to uphold food safety and operational standards

Job Duties

  • Be guest obsessed - uphold top-notch standards of excellence and hospitality
  • Ensure speed of service, accuracy, and positive guest obsessed experience
  • Be responsible for the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment and hiring, people processes and performance management
  • Train and develop crew members, shift leaders, and Apprentices, utilizing Chipotle’s training tools and resources
  • Direct our team members to deliver accurate and on-time digital orders
  • Be accountable for the day-to-day operational business of your restaurant (creating and managing a schedule, P&L control and management, sales-forecasting, recruiting and interviewing)
  • Ensure the dining room remains clean and the restaurant is always guest-ready
  • Uphold food safety, operational, and compliance standards
  • Be accountable for overall financial success of the restaurant, achieving annual sales & cash flow plan
  • Work a schedule that includes lunch, dinner, and weekend shifts to provide leadership across all hours of operation
