We are currently seeking a Restaurant General Manager to join our team in Des Moines, IA. This full-time management role comes with a competitive salary range up to $75,000. The Restaurant General Manager will play a crucial leadership role in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations in a high-volume, full-service environment. Responsibilities will encompass managing daily operations to ensure exceptional food quality and guest service, while cultivating a positive and professional work environment for staff and customers alike. The successful candidate will be expected to lead a team of over 25 employees per shift, ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining high standards for sanitation, safety, and professional appearance.

This position requires a hands-on manager who is comfortable working on the floor to directly engage with both team members and guests. Financial acumen is also essential since the general manager will be responsible for budgeting, controlling costs, and driving operational efficiencies while meeting performance goals. Job Requirements

  • minimum 1-3 years of management experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant
  • college degree preferred but combination of practical experience and education considered
  • strong knowledge of computer programs like ms word, excel, outlook and familiarity with restaurant management software
  • availability to work nights and weekends with typical work week of 50-55 hours
  • proficiency in food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports
