The role of General Manager at Cloud Cannabis & Stash Ventures is a crucial leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dispensary and ensuring compliance with all local and state regulations. The General Manager plays an integral role in managing and inspiring internal staff to deliver the utmost level of customer service, always prioritizing the safety and satisfaction of customers and employees. They are tasked with providing education and development opportunities for staff focused on medical cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates, and various consumption methods, ensuring the team remains highly knowledgeable to support customer needs.

Additionally, the General Manager is responsible for setting ambitious sales, service, and profit goals and motivating the team to exceed these objectives. Coordinating with inventory specialists and procurement managers, they ensure a steady supply of quality products is available. Staffing needs and scheduling coordination fall under their purview, along with regular communication and coaching of staff to maintain excellence in service and labor practices. The General Manager must be proficient in analyzing and interpreting business and regulatory documents related to dispensary performance, safety, security measures, and legal regulations. They will develop operational plans, implement policies and procedures, document financial activity along with inventory and customer trends, and manage sales and inventory software systems. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related experience
  • Five years of experience in a retail management environment
  • Excellent customer communication and service skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Passionate about serving the Michigan cannabis community
  • Strong accounting, math and computer skills
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations including weekends, holidays and evening hours

Job Duties

  • Ensure the dispensary's compliance with security, inventory and local and state regulations
  • Manage and inspire internal staff to deliver the highest level of customer service
  • Ensure the safety and satisfaction of every customer and employee
  • Provide a high level of education and development for staff pertaining to medical cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates and consumption mechanisms
  • Set sales, service, and profit goals and lead staff to exceed them
  • Work closely with inventory specialist and procurement manager to procure an adequate supply of quality products
  • Fulfill staffing needs and coordinate scheduling
  • Communicate with and coach staff on a regular basis to ensure the dispensary's excellence in service and labor practices within the community
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents relating to dispensary performance, general business periodicals, professional journals, safety, security and technical procedures, and governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Develop operations plans and implement and manage dispensary policies and procedures
  • Document financial, inventory and customer trends
  • Maintain sales and purchasing reports
  • Manage and maintain dispensary sales and inventory management software
