Job Description
Axis Hotel Group Inc. is an independent franchisee operating hotels under the Marriott International brand. Although affiliated with Marriott, Axis Hotel Group Inc. is a separate entity, governing all hiring, staffing, compensation, benefits, and employment policies autonomously. This autonomy enables the group to tailor operations, human resource activities, and staff management to uphold high standards while reflecting the company’s core values and dedication to guest satisfaction. The group prioritizes fostering a professional work environment where employee growth and guest experience are central to all business practices. Our hotels benefit from the strong brand reputation of Marriott but are agile enough to implement local strategies and initiatives to meet market and guest needs effectively.\n\nThe role of Managing General Manager at Axis Hotel Group is to serve as the primary strategic business leader of one of our properties. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually and entails comprehensive oversight of all hotel operations including property performance, food and beverage services, sales and marketing strategy, human resources, and profitability management. The Managing General Manager is charged with delivering strong returns on investment through efficient and innovative management practices while aligning with Marriott's brand standards and service strategies.\n\nThis position demands a seasoned leader who is adept at coordinating cross-departmental functions to ensure seamless service delivery and operational excellence. The Managing General Manager will lead a diverse team, champion service excellence programs, and ensure continuous improvement via quality audits and feedback mechanisms. Responsibilities include managing labor budgets, implementing brand standards related to food and beverage, technology usage, and property maintenance, and leveraging strategic vendor relationships. Additionally, the role requires the development and execution of sales and marketing plans in partnership with the Regional Sales Office and Market Sales teams to foster growth and maximize revenue streams. The individual will also ensure that all programs are synchronized across departments to create a unified and memorable guest experience.\n\nThis opportunity not only includes robust operational oversight but also offers the chance to engineer innovative marketing strategies, manage direct customer relationship building, host sales events, and identify new revenue opportunities. The Managing General Manager is expected to maintain clear communication with internal teams and key external stakeholders to enhance the property’s market position and guest satisfaction scores. This leadership role emphasizes hands-on involvement in day-to-day property walks, service evaluations, and ensuring compliance with sanitation and cleanliness standards.\n\nIn summary, the Managing General Manager will act as the linchpin that aligns operational practices, financial objectives, and brand expectations to deliver exceptional hospitality services, drive profitability, and maintain a motivated and efficient staff. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with a proven track record in hotel management who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment and seeks to contribute strategically to the property's success.
