This full-service hotel provides thoughtful amenities such as a 24-hour fitness facility, a library, complimentary breakfast, Callie's Coffee Shoppe, and the Lakefront Smokehouse. The Inn on Sheridan is designed to deliver convenience, genuine hospitality, and a memorable stay for every guest. First Hospitality, founded in 1985 and based in Chicago, is a forward-thinking hotel development, investment, and management company that operates The Inn on Sheridan. Known for its strategic vision to create value through excellence and innovation, First Hospitality emphasizes a diverse and inclusive workplace culture where employees feel respected and have opportunities for growth and development. The company promotes collaboration, flexibility, fairness, and equal opportunity in the workplace.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and hands-on General Manager to lead the overall operations of The Inn on Sheridan. This is a full-time role that requires a leader who can bring energy, accountability, and heart to both the guest experience and the associate culture. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all hotel departments including Rooms, Sales, Marketing, Maintenance, and Administration. By leading with intention, developing a strong and motivated team, and driving financial performance through careful revenue management and expense control, the General Manager plays a critical role in sustaining the hotel's reputation for excellence.

As the General Manager, you will be a visible and engaged leader who partners closely with on-property sales leaders as well as corporate sales and revenue management teams to maximize revenue, market share, and profitability. You will foster a workplace culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and genuine hospitality, recruiting and retaining a high-performing team committed to exceeding guest expectations. The role demands a strategic approach to managing budgets, purchasing, and resources while ensuring alignment and clear communication across departments. Additionally, you will handle guest feedback proactively, respond with empathy and professionalism, and lead emergency and safety procedures confidently.

This position offers insurance enrollment, paid time off, and holiday pay starting from day one, as well as 401(k) enrollment after 30 days. Employees also enjoy hotel and travel discounts at worldwide destinations along with professional development and promotion opportunities.
