Job Description
Axis Hotel Group Inc. is an independent franchisee that owns and operates hotels, including this property located at 808 M St, Fresno, California. While affiliated with Marriott International through a franchise, Axis Hotel Group functions as a separate entity responsible for the full scope of employment policies and practices such as hiring, firing, compensation, and benefits. This distinction ensures that employees hired for this property will be engaged by Axis Hotel Group rather than Marriott International itself. Known for its commitment to operational excellence and premium guest service, Axis Hotel Group emphasizes quality, effective management, and strategic leadership across its portfolio.
This particular role is a full-time, managerial position at the property level, requiring a dynamic leader capable of driving business and operational success. As the primary strategic business leader, this position entails managing every aspect of the hotel’s performance including daily property operations, food and beverage management, sales and marketing initiatives, profitability, revenue strategies, and human resources functions. The position demands a proactive approach to achieving business objectives, providing exceptional guest experiences, and delivering solid returns on investment to both Marriott International and the property owner. With a salary range between $80,000 and $100,000 annually, Axis Hotel Group offers competitive compensation paired with quarterly performance bonuses, comprehensive health benefits, retirement plans through CalSavers, and discounts for stays across their portfolio and Marriott brands.
The role centers on fostering an environment of continuous improvement and service excellence, ensuring brand standards are consistently implemented and exceeded. Key responsibilities include coordinating with regional sales offices and market sales teams to deploy effective sales strategies, maintaining robust operational controls over labor budgets and financial performance, and leading capital improvement projects. The property manager will regularly engage with guests and key accounts, spearhead marketing solutions tailored to the property’s unique position, and employ technology and data-driven approaches to sustain profitability and build team capabilities.
Overall, this opportunity suits an accomplished hospitality professional who thrives in a hands-on leadership role, values collaboration, innovation, and quality guest service, and is eager to contribute to the long-term success of a well-regarded independent franchise within the Marriott family. The role offers a compelling blend of operational oversight, strategic marketing involvement, and financial stewardship, all within a vibrant, guest-focused environment in Fresno, California.
