The role of General Manager at Einstein Bros. Bagels is an exciting and challenging leadership position. The General Manager is responsible for overseeing every aspect of the store operations with a hands-on approach guided by a "treat it like you own it" philosophy. This role involves starting early—sometimes as early as 4am—to ensure the first bake and store opening run smoothly. Throughout the day, the General Manager ensures the store remains audit-ready and manages catering, mobile, and in-store orders while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

In addition to operational duties, the General Manager plays a critical role during busy breakfast and lunch hours by floating to various positions, managing breaks, and fostering a positive team environment. Closing the store by 2pm, the General Manager conducts closing procedures including preparation for the next day, scheduling, inventory management, order placements, and securing the daily deposit. This comprehensive responsibility demands strong leadership, operational savvy, and a commitment to high standards.

To support success in this role, Einstein Bros. Bagels provides an extensive five-week training program to equip new General Managers with the necessary skills and knowledge. Candidates with 1 to 3 years of prior General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience in a restaurant setting have a strong foundation for success. The role requires leaders who are not only operationally proficient but also capable of motivating and inspiring a team, recruiting talented individuals, and developing in-house staff. Experience with profit and loss analysis, food cost management, and labor target achievement is highly valued.

Einstein Bros. Bagels offers competitive compensation for this role, with a pay range of $60,000 to $62,000 annually, plus attainable quarterly bonuses, reflecting the company’s commitment to rewarding performance. Job Requirements
