Chipotle is currently expanding rapidly, opening nearly a new restaurant every day, and is seeking dynamic General Managers to join their leadership team. As a General Manager at Chipotle, you will play a pivotal role in driving the restaurant's operational success while cultivating a positive and guest-focused culture. In this role, you will be responsible for leading your team with a focus on hiring, developing, and retaining talented individuals who embody Chipotle's mission and values. You will oversee all facets of the restaurant's operations, including managing schedules, controlling budgets, forecasting sales, and ensuring food safety and compliance standards are met at all times. As the face of the restaurant, you will foster a guest-obsessed atmosphere, ensuring speed, accuracy, and excellence in hospitality.

The General Manager will also be hands-on in training and mentoring crew members, shift leaders, and apprentices by utilizing Chipotle’s proprietary training tools. The role requires strong leadership during all operational hours, including lunch, dinner, and weekends, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to team and guest satisfaction.

Job Duties

  • Be guest obsessed - uphold top-notch standards of excellence and hospitality
  • Ensure speed of service, accuracy, and positive guest obsessed experience
  • Be responsible for the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment and hiring, people processes and performance management
  • Train and develop crew members, shift leaders, and Apprentices, utilizing Chipotle's training tools and resources
  • Direct our team members to deliver accurate and on-time digital orders
  • Be accountable for the day-to-day operational business of your restaurant (creating and managing a schedule, P&L control and management, sales-forecasting, recruiting and interviewing)
  • Ensure the dining room remains clean and the restaurant is always guest-ready
  • Uphold food safety, operational, and compliance standards
  • Be accountable for overall financial success of the restaurant, achieving annual sales & cash flow plan
  • Work a schedule that includes lunch, dinner, and weekend shifts to provide leadership across all hours of operation
