As a member of Hilton's Curio Collection, the Strider Hotel stands out by offering unique experiences that reflect the local culture while maintaining the highest standards of service and comfort. This brand embraces individuality and authenticity, making it an ideal destination for discerning travelers who appreciate luxury combined with a sense of place.
Opening soon, the Strider Hotel seeks an experienced and visionary General Manager to lead the property through its launch and establish it as a premier hospitality destination. This leadership role offers the chance to shape not only the initial success of the hotel but also its enduring position in the market. The General Manager will be entrusted with creating an environment that nurtures associate growth and fosters guest loyalty while driving operational excellence at every level. This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $190,000 to $200,000, reflecting the importance of the role within the organization.
As General Manager, you will have the vital responsibility of setting the strategic direction for the entire hotel operation. You will develop, lead, and mentor a diverse team across various departments, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services. By cultivating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability, you will inspire your team to perform at the highest level and achieve exceptional results. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining seamless daily operations, ensuring quality standards are met, and upholding safety protocols to provide a secure environment for both guests and staff.
Guest experience is at the heart of this role. You will oversee the implementation of personalized service standards that ensure every guest interaction exceeds expectations. Swift and effective resolution of any guest issues will be a priority, reinforcing the hotel’s commitment to excellence. Financial acumen is also crucial; you will develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue, optimize operational expenses, and meet all budgetary targets. Regular financial analysis and timely corrective action are key components of your responsibility to maintain the hotel’s profitable growth.
In addition to operational and financial leadership, the General Manager will champion employee development by fostering continuous learning and professional growth opportunities. This will empower team members to excel in their roles and prepare for future advancement within the Hilton family. This leadership opportunity comes with a clear career growth path, progressing from General Manager to Area General Manager, Regional Director of Operations, and ultimately Vice President of Operations.
The ideal candidate for this prestigious role holds an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field and brings previous hotel management experience. The position requires standing for extended periods, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and occasional travel. The work environment encourages ownership, excellence, agility, and a heart to serve others, embodying the hotel's philosophy of 'People Are Our Capability – Hearts That Serve – Only Excellence – Stay Nimble – Own It.'
