The position of General Manager at Chipotle is a pivotal leadership role designed for individuals eager to lead with passion and grow alongside the company’s rapid expansion, with new restaurants opening nearly every day. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all facets of restaurant management, including scheduling, profit and loss accountability, sales forecasting, compliance, food safety standards, and ensuring exemplary guest service. Your leadership will ensure that each restaurant operates efficiently while delivering the highest standards of hospitality and quality. You will also develop and train crew members, shift leaders, and apprentices using Chipotle’s comprehensive training tools, ensuring a well-informed and motivated team. The role demands hands-on involvement and flexibility as you work across lunch, dinner, and weekend shifts, providing visible leadership throughout all operational hours.

Working in a fast-paced kitchen and restaurant environment, the General Manager role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and engage directly with customers and team members. Job Duties

  • Be guest obsessed and uphold top-notch standards of excellence and hospitality
  • Ensure speed of service, accuracy, and a positive guest experience
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and people processes
  • Train and develop crew members, shift leaders, and apprentices using Chipotle’s training resources
  • Direct team members to deliver accurate and on-time digital orders
  • Manage day-to-day restaurant operations including scheduling, profit and loss control, sales forecasting, and recruiting
  • Ensure the dining room remains clean and the restaurant is always guest-ready
  • Uphold food safety, operational, and compliance standards
  • Be accountable for the restaurant’s financial success, achieving annual sales and cash flow targets
  • Work a flexible schedule including lunch, dinner, and weekend shifts to provide leadership across all hours of operation
