The Store Manager role at Fresh Dining Concepts is a pivotal leadership position responsible for managing all day-to-day operations of a retail store location. Reporting directly to the District Manager, the Store Manager oversees a team including Assistant Store Managers, Shift Supervisors, and Crew Members. This role requires strong management skills and a hands-on approach to ensure that financial targets such as sales goals, labor, and food costs are consistently met or exceeded. The manager will be instrumental in driving profitability by carefully monitoring expenses and optimizing operational processes while maintaining high standards for guest satisfaction and product quality.

A key responsibility of the Store Manager is to lead and develop the store’s workforce. This includes recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance, as well as scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations. The Store Manager fosters a positive work environment by providing clear expectations, coaching, and disciplinary measures when appropriate. The position often requires making critical decisions related to staffing, inventory management, financial controls including cash handling, and safety and security compliance.

Operational duties extend to overseeing inventory levels and reducing waste without compromising quality, maintaining equipment and facilities, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, EPA, ADA, and food safety laws. The role also involves coordinating and executing promotional, marketing, and community engagement initiatives in collaboration with the District Manager.

Furthermore, the Store Manager is expected to be a visible and active leader on the floor, working alongside team members during peak business hours. The role demands excellent communication skills, financial acumen, and the ability to manage stressful situations effectively. Essential physical demands include prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting heavy items, reflecting the fast-paced, hands-on nature of the work environment.

Employment is full-time, with a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays. The role is classified as exempt except in California, where the exemption status is non-exempt. Candidates should be prepared to work a minimum of 45 hours per week. Fresh Dining Concepts offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Job Requirements

  • Minimum age 18 years
  • Must have Food Handler Permit as required by state or local jurisdiction
  • Must complete Food Safety Training and pass related exam
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat for prolonged periods
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to write and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
  • Ability to test products by taste, color, and smell as needed
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 45 hours per week

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in retail management or food service
  • 2-3 years of experience managing or supervising teams
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Strong guest focus and customer service skills
  • Experience with computers, smartphones, and POS systems
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Preferred: Experience coaching and developing retail teams

Job Duties
