The position available is for a Restaurant General Manager who plays a pivotal role in the operation's success. This role involves overseeing the flawless execution of daily restaurant operations, ensuring that every detail from food preparation to customer interaction surpasses guest expectations consistently. The General Manager is responsible for providing leadership, coaching, and training for the team, covering all aspects including food quality, service standards, safety, sanitation, and adherence to company policies. This role is also critical in managing the financial performance of the restaurant, requiring the General Manager to closely monitor inventory, cost controls, staffing, and sales growth initiatives. Working in partnership with other management personnel, the General Manager helps develop and implement operational plans that improve efficiency and profitability while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.

This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, effectively communicate with guests, staff, and vendors, and foster a professional, non-hostile, harassment-free workplace. The General Manager will also be involved in community engagement activities, leveraging catering services to build sales and enhance the restaurant's reputation within the local market. The role demands strong organizational skills, the ability to respond promptly to guest feedback, and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety in all areas of the facility. The job also demands physical activity including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • Minimum of three years of high volume full-service restaurant management experience
  • Exceptional leadership and motivational skills
  • Ability to attract, train, develop and retain team members
  • Strong guest service focus for exceptional dining experience
  • Ability to achieve financial goals including sales growth and cost management
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Ability to talk and hear and use hands repetitively
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders and step stools
  • Dexterity for handling food and dishes

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Some college preferred
  • Minimum of three years of high volume full-service restaurant management experience

  • Ability to define, measure and achieve financial goals including sales growth, guest count increases, staffing efficiency, and cost management

Job Duties

  • Ensure flawless execution of every detail, every shift, by every team member to exceed guest expectations
  • Provide direction, coaching, training and development for team members including food quality, service standards, safety and sanitation, and company policies and procedures
  • Ensure all food, beverage and service standards, policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Partner with the GM to ensure financial performance of the restaurant
  • Ensure consistent execution of all systems, standards, inventory and cost controls
  • Partner with the GM to create and implement plans that result in improved financial performance
  • Partner with GM to plan, execute and follow up on new company initiatives
  • Utilize catering team to inspire community involvement and build sales
  • Ensure team members and manager schedules support positive restaurant performance
  • Interview and assist in final selection of all team members maintaining appropriate staffing levels
  • Partner with GM to verify all daily administration is carried out according to policy and standards
  • Proactively organize and plan work anticipating changing business needs
  • Communicate effectively with guests, team members, management, owners, and vendors
  • Respond promptly to guest feedback and ensure positive guest recovery
  • Ensure cleanliness of exterior and interior facilities and sufficient supply levels
  • Follow safety procedures and standards when operating equipment
  • Provide a safe, professional, non-hostile, harassment-free work environment
  • Handle multiple priorities, work under stress and exercise good judgment
