The General Manager position at LifeWorks Restaurant Group is a pivotal leadership role responsible for managing multiple site operations or multiple client contracts typically generating revenues between $2 million and $15 million or more. This role demands a dynamic operations manager who excels at both strategic oversight and hands-on execution of contracted services that may encompass food service, facility support, custodial, retail, lodging, transportation, and other operational domains. The General Manager is charged with aligning operational activities with client objectives, financial goals, and customer expectations while fostering a strong team culture and maintaining a safe, compliant workplace.

This position offers a competitive salaried compensation ranging from $115,000 to $125,000 depending on experience and qualifications. The General Manager will interface closely with clients and internal teams to ensure service excellence, financial performance, and continuous operational improvement. Key responsibilities include leading a management team and frontline staff, managing budgets in partnership with finance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving service innovation. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred in related fields
  • Meaningful experience in service industry, contract services, or hospitality
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams through other managers
  • Strong financial management skills including budgeting and analysis
  • Ability to interpret and apply contractual obligations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to meet job demands including lifting, bending, pushing, and extended walking or standing
  • Willingness to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment as required

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred in food service, hospitality, facilities, or business management
  • Ability to focus on client and customer services, entrepreneurship, and business growth
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, senior management, and support staff
  • Comfortable reading, understanding, and implementing contractual requirements including addressing operational issues
  • Experience in service industry, contract services, or hospitality environment
  • Proven ability to lead through other managers
  • Experience in department budgeting, financial controls, and analysis
  • Experience crafting product sales strategies and implementing operational initiatives

Job Duties

  • Lead a team providing operational expertise in contracted services while managing day-to-day operations
  • Manage client and community relationships, assess operations, and develop plans to optimize service and satisfaction
  • Build, develop, and lead a management team and staff to fulfill organizational objectives
  • Recommend methods, resources, and implementations for service improvement and growth based on operational needs and contractual obligations
  • Manage budgets in partnership with finance and assist in designing improvements to maximize financial performance and productivity
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and maintain all related records
  • Guarantee adherence to Aramark's standards of operation including safety standards and business conduct policies
