As Hotel General Manager, you will take the helm of a team of 6 to 12 staff members, fostering a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and service excellence. Recruiting, training, and motivating your team are essential responsibilities, as is providing hands-on leadership to ensure the property remains impeccable and “Guest Ready” at all times. You will be responsible for addressing guest concerns promptly, maintaining high cleanliness standards, and managing guest reviews to uphold the hotel’s positive reputation.
Operational duties include adhering to brand guidelines, meeting operational deadlines, and carefully managing budgets to drive profit and loss performance. You will develop and implement sales strategies, engaging with local organizations and competitive properties to enhance the hotel’s market presence. The role demands physical activity, including tasks like kneeling, squatting, bending, and the ability to lift and push weights up to 50 pounds occasionally. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a hotel general manager
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving kneeling squatting sitting standing bending and twisting for long periods
- Ability to lift push pull up to 20lbs regularly occasionally up to 50lbs
- Proficient computer skills
- Excellent organizational time management and problem-solving abilities
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong leadership skills

Job Duties
- Recruit train and motivate a dedicated team of 6-12 staff members
- Provide hands-on support and guidance to ensure the team achieves outstanding results
- Ensure the hotel is always guest ready by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and swiftly addressing any guest concerns
- Manage and address guest reviews to maintain review standards
- Follow brand guidelines meet operational deadlines manage budgets control labor occupancy and P&Ls to facilitate successful hotel operations
- Network within the local community to promote the property and build strong relationships with competitive properties local organizations and key clients
- Lead in-house guest sales and marketing initiatives to increase occupancy
- Assist with housekeeping in rooms as needed and daily completion of laundry duties and public space needs
- Flexible for covering employee shifts as needed to ensure operational continuity in the event of unexpected absences
- Know and follow property emergency procedures and ensure the security needs of the property and guests are met
- Perform other duties as assigned
