Job Description
Flynn Group is a prominent and rapidly expanding franchise operator known for its diverse portfolio of iconic restaurant brands including Applebee's, Arby's, Panera Bread, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Wendy's, and Planet Fitness. Founded in 1999 by Greg Flynn, Flynn Group has grown to become the largest franchise operator globally, distinguished by its emphasis on building premier operations and fostering strong, community-focused brands. Among its key franchises, Flynn Panera is a standout, having entered the Panera Bread system in 2015 through the acquisition of 47 cafes. Since then, Flynn Panera has seen tremendous growth, now standing as the second largest Panera franchisee in the world. The company continues to expand its footprint by both constructing new locations and acquiring existing franchise operations. This success mirrors Flynn Group's foundational mission to excel within each brand it manages while upholding core values such as genuine care for people, fostering a winning team spirit, and championing a culture of collective success.
Flynn Panera operates under a decentralized business model where local leadership is emphasized. Each geographic area is led by a Market Leader who oversees Area Directors managing multiple cafe locations. Reporting directly to these Area Directors are General Managers, who play a pivotal role as the chief managers responsible for the overall operations of individual cafes. These cafes are supported by Assistant Managers and Team Managers who help ensure day-to-day management and departmental oversight run smoothly. The company prides itself on recruiting seasoned, reliable professionals with extensive restaurant industry expertise, providing a pathway for career growth and leadership development.
The General Manager role at Flynn Panera represents a critical leadership position within this vibrant and fast-growing organization. This role not only requires the effective management and supervision of up to 60 staff members but also demands a commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience that aligns with Panera Bread’s standards of quality, cleanliness, and hospitality. The General Manager is expected to embody passion for the foodservice industry, demonstrating leadership skills that inspire and motivate the team to perform at their best. This includes coaching and counseling staff, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation, managing profitability, and ensuring every customer leaves satisfied and eager to return.
At Flynn Panera, General Managers are entrusted with responsibilities that stretch beyond routine managerial duties. They contribute to strategic planning, operational efficiency, and the nurturing of a positive workplace culture that reflects Flynn Panera's values. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking both professional growth and the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to their local communities through exceptional food service. Flynn Panera offers competitive salary packages, starting at $83,200 annually, alongside benefits such as profit sharing, health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off. These benefits, combined with a supportive work environment and opportunities for advancement, make the General Manager position a sought-after opportunity within the restaurant management landscape.
