Job Description

Wingstop is a leading quick-service restaurant brand that specializes in delivering fresh, never-faked chicken wings with bold, savory flavors. Established in 1994, Wingstop has grown rapidly to become a celebrated destination for wing enthusiasts who crave a truly flavorful dining experience. The brand emphasizes quality ingredients, innovative wing flavors, and a commitment to outstanding customer service, setting it apart in the competitive fast-casual dining market. Wingstop operates a mix of company-owned and franchised locations across the United States and internationally, consistently expanding its footprint while maintaining its unique flavor-centric identity.

As a General Manager at Wingstop, you will take on a pivotal leadership role responsible for the overall success of your restaurant. This position offers a dynamic balance of strategic planning and hands-on management, focused on people development, financial oversight, operational excellence, and delivering an exceptional guest experience. The General Manager is charged with implementing the Wingstop mission: To Serve the World Flavor, by creating and nurturing a motivated team aligned with the company’s culture and values. Success in this role means managing day-to-day restaurant operations while driving sales and profit growth, maintaining cost controls, and fostering a positive, safe working environment.

This leadership position requires the ability to think strategically while executing operationally, ensuring that every aspect of the restaurant runs smoothly—from hiring the right team members and providing thorough training to managing schedules efficiently and overseeing food quality and safety standards. The General Manager also plays a critical role in maintaining strong communication channels between the restaurant team and corporate leadership, ensuring high performance and consistent adherence to company standards.

Key responsibilities extend to managing financial performance by understanding budgets, controlling labor and food costs, and meeting or exceeding targets set by operations leadership. This role involves ongoing auditing and assessment of operational processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing effective solutions to enhance restaurant profitability and guest satisfaction. Additionally, the General Manager must uphold Wingstop’s facilities and safety standards and actively participate in risk management practices to ensure compliance.

Ideal candidates for this role will demonstrate a combination of leadership acumen, passion for the restaurant industry, and a commitment to excellence in team and guest management. Wingstop values innovation, hard work, and a positive attitude, encouraging General Managers to be creative and fully engaged in both team development and business growth. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are driven to cultivate a culture of respect, recognition, and reward, this is the opportunity to lead one of the fastest-growing brands in the restaurant industry.
