The General Manager role based in Vallejo, California, is critical in supporting Solano Transit operations. Job Requirements
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules
- able to sit, type, and use computer for long periods
- able to work indoors and outdoors
- subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable
- eligible to work in the U.S. without restrictions

Job Qualifications
- Completion of a four year college degree in a relevant field desirable
- experience in business administration, logistics, transportation, or related field preferred
- at least 5 years managing fixed route or paratransit bus operations of similar size
- knowledge of federal and state employment laws
- thorough knowledge of transit system regulations and operations
- ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- ability to manage cost control and financial budgets
- proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- understanding of transportation technology including apps and Wi-Fi
- strong written and oral communication skills
- ability to organize work efficiently with attention to detail
- ability to navigate labor relations issues and work with union partners
