The position being offered is for an experienced General Manager who will be a champion of the team, leading by example while upholding and promoting company values, goals, and mission. The General Manager plays a critical role in maintaining high standards of quality and service throughout the venue. They are responsible for ensuring that operational execution is not only efficient and profitable but also fosters an awesome work environment for all team members. This leadership role requires someone who can inspire, motivate, and develop their teammates while managing a fast-paced operation that mixes entertainment with food service.
The General Manager will manage various aspects of the business, including revenue growth, cost control, guest satisfaction, and team leadership. They will be expected to analyze profit and loss statements, strategize for financial health, and oversee proper cash handling procedures. Central to the role is optimizing the guest experience by prioritizing satisfaction, maintaining venue equipment, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. Additionally, cultivating a positive team atmosphere and building a strong succession pipeline are key responsibilities. With a competitive compensation range of $75,000 to $85,000 plus a performance-based incentive bonus, this role offers both financial and professional growth opportunities. Job Requirements
- Must be able to execute light lifting up to 50 lbs
- must be able to stand for extended periods
- ability to walk up and down stairs frequently
- comfortable operating POS touchscreen devices
- able to work in kitchen environment with ovens, stoves, dishwashers, slicers, fryers, steamers, mixers, and chef's knives
- frequent exposure to heat, steam, fire, and noise
- ability to position oneself to avoid guest view in theaters
- ability to climb stairs
Job Qualifications
- Successful track record of managing high-volume, multi-faceted, and fast-paced operations
- at least 5 years of management experience in the full service restaurant or eatertainment industry in a similar role
- solid experience managing financial and profit and loss responsibilities
- base knowledge of legal and HR issues related to hospitality including liquor, labor, health codes and statutes
- basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and G-Suite
- demonstrated knowledge and execution of current operating standards
- strong communication skills with ability to write and verbally communicate clearly and concisely
Job Duties
- Understand and analyze profit and loss each period and identify areas of opportunity
- manage financial health of the venue including sales, labor, cost of goods sold, and controllable expenses
- develop short and long-term plans for revenue growth and cost control
- ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed including safe counts, petty cash, and bank drops
- establish guest satisfaction as a top priority and proactively identify ways to enhance the guest experience
- maintain venue equipment and entertainment features for cleanliness and functionality
- guide and motivate management staff, cultivate a strategic team environment, develop and grow a succession bench, directly supervise Assistant General Manager and Kitchen Manager
