Job Description

Daland Corporation is a prominent operator of Pizza Hut restaurants, a well-established brand in the quick-service restaurant industry. The company is committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences by maintaining high standards in food quality, customer service, and operational excellence. As a part of a large network of Pizza Hut franchises, Daland Corporation prides itself on fostering a dynamic workplace that emphasizes team collaboration, growth opportunities, and consistent adherence to company policies and standards. The company focuses on profitability, customer satisfaction, employee development, marketing initiatives, facility maintenance, and administrative efficiency to ensure smooth restaurant operations and long-term success. This comprehensive approach supports both the business goals and the professional advancement of its employees.

The Salaried Restaurant General Manager (RGM) position at Daland Corporation is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of a Pizza Hut restaurant's daily operations. Reporting directly to the District Manager, the RGM holds the highest authority within the restaurant and is accountable for planning, organizing, and controlling restaurant activities to meet sales and profitability targets. This role requires a high level of commitment, including working a minimum of five days and 45 hours per week, with flexibility to cover late nights, weekends, and peak revenue shifts.

Key responsibilities include managing team member recruitment, training, performance, and morale while ensuring compliance with all company policies and legal regulations. The RGM actively participates in creating annual sales budgets alongside the District Manager and executes strategic plans to achieve consistent sales growth. Financial management duties encompass monitoring cash flow, controlling inventory and labor costs, and performing banking and accounting procedures with accuracy and integrity. The manager also plays a pivotal role in enhancing customer satisfaction by maintaining high service standards, resolving complaints promptly using the B.L.A.S.T. approach (Believe, Listen, Apologize, Satisfy, Thank), and providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Operational efficiency is emphasized through effective scheduling based on sales forecasts, adherence to food safety standards, and ensuring all team members follow preparation and service protocols. The RGM is responsible for facility maintenance, including preventive measures, safety inspections, sanitation, and cleanliness throughout the restaurant to comply with OSHA regulations and company standards. Marketing efforts such as community engagement, promotion implementation, and event scheduling also fall under the RGM’s purview to support business growth.

Leadership and people management are central to the role as the RGM fosters a positive and productive workplace, develops promotable team members, administers disciplinary actions consistently, and aligns team efforts with the company’s core values and vision. This role demands strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills to handle emergencies, manage paperwork and reporting, and maintain orderly record-keeping.

The complexity of the position requires physical agility, mental acuity, and the ability to work effectively under stress while balancing diverse responsibilities. The RGM needs a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for banking deposits, product pick-ups, and occasional travel for training and meetings. This position utilizes various specialized restaurant equipment and technology, including point-of-sale systems and inventory management software, to streamline operations.

In summary, the Salaried Restaurant General Manager at Daland Corporation is a vital role that combines business acumen, leadership excellence, and operational expertise to drive the success of Pizza Hut restaurants. The position offers a challenging and rewarding career path for individuals committed to delivering outstanding service, maximizing profitability, and leading teams to achieve their best performance.
