The General Manager role at Seva Hospitality involves overseeing the complete operational management of the hotel with primary responsibilities in managing cost controls, quality standards, and profitability across multiple departments such as rooms, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance. The General Manager ensures compliance with franchise certifications and local legal regulations while actively engaging in budgeting, financial reporting, marketing strategies, and community relations. The role demands a hands-on approach, including occasional physical tasks and flexibility with work hours to cover nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Reporting directly to the Seva Hospitality Operations Manager, the General Manager supervises assistant managers, department directors, and other key staff to maintain smooth daily operations and promote a positive organizational culture. Job Requirements
- Certifications as required by franchise
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
- Proven experience in hotel management or similar hospitality leadership roles
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial reporting
- Excellent leadership and team development skills
- Knowledge of marketing and sales strategies in the hospitality industry
- Familiarity with operational systems and hotel management software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties
- Manages all departments including rooms, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance
- Ensures profitability and strong working relationships across departments
- Completes daily accounting entries and manages financial deposits
- Develops and implements local and national marketing plans and pricing strategies
- Participates in sales discussions and maintains knowledge of market segments
- Promotes hotel policies and philosophies to team members and guests
- Creates and monitors the hotel’s annual budget and produces monthly financial reports
- Oversees human resources functions including turnover control, team member motivation, development, and retention
- Enforces a preventative maintenance program to protect hotel assets
- Responds promptly to guest requests and complaints and ensures guest satisfaction
- Maintains a professional image and adheres to company policies and procedures
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws including OSHA, EEOC, and wage and health regulations
- Builds and maintains relationships with community and civic organizations
- Assists during Quality Assurance reviews by franchise
- Conducts or aids in staff meetings and reviews team member performance
- Applies team member handbook guidelines and adheres to scheduled work times
- Observes guest service standards and promotes genuine appreciation toward guests
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
