Job Description

Caribou Coffee is a nationally recognized coffeehouse chain known for its commitment to creating day-making experiences that spark a chain reaction of good. Established with a focus on community, quality, and exceptional customer service, Caribou Coffee has built a reputation for being more than just a place to get great coffee. The company prides itself on its strong culture that emphasizes team, guest, and business priorities. Employees at Caribou Coffee, or the "Bou Crew," are encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for both staff and customers alike.

As a General Manager at Caribou Coffee, you hold an essential leadership position focused on the financial performance and overall success of the store. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about inspiring and empowering a team while delivering an exceptional guest experience. The General Manager is responsible for maintaining a thriving store culture by ensuring clear roles and responsibilities are understood, setting expectations, and holding the team accountable. The position requires a dedication to maximizing sales opportunities, fostering team engagement, and driving operational excellence.

In this role, you will be a champion for Caribou’s core values: Support One Another, Make Fun Happen, Be Yourself, Take Ownership, and Serve with Love. Your leadership will cultivate a culture of continuous growth and development, ensuring that all team members receive thorough training and ongoing coaching. You will oversee staffing, scheduling, and employee engagement strategies to build a high-performing team. Additionally, you will handle critical business management responsibilities such as supply chain coordination, budget management, and inventory control to keep the store running efficiently and profitably.

Your impact extends beyond internal team management to encompass guest satisfaction and quality assurance. You will lead initiatives to consistently enhance the guest experience, improve speed of service, and boost customer loyalty through data-driven strategies. By managing all aspects of store operations—from maintaining high standards in food safety and sanitation to executing in-store sales initiatives—you will play a vital role in meeting and exceeding sales goals.

The General Manager role at Caribou Coffee is a full-time position typically requiring 47 hours per week, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be 18 years or older and possess reliable transportation. Starting pay ranges from $20.82 to $39.77 per hour, reflecting local and state minimum wage regulations. Caribou Coffee is committed to equal employment opportunities and welcomes candidates from diverse backgrounds. Physical demands include standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds, with accommodations available as needed.

Joining Caribou Coffee means becoming part of a passionate community dedicated to making a difference through great coffee and outstanding service. If you have management experience in a restaurant, retail, or guest service setting and are ready to lead a dynamic team, this role offers a fulfilling career path with opportunities for personal and professional growth. Apply today to be part of the 'Bou Crew' and help create positive, memorable experiences for guests every day.
