The role of the General Manager at Chipotle is a vital leadership position within this fast-growing company. As a General Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving excellence in hospitality and operational performance. This full-time position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $63,000 to $88,500 annually, along with eligibility for quarterly cash bonuses based on performance and other factors. Your responsibilities will span the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment and hiring to performance management and employee development. You will ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the restaurant, which involves managing schedules, controlling profit and loss (P&L), sales forecasting, and maintaining both food safety and operational compliance standards. Guest satisfaction is paramount, and you will be expected to uphold top-notch standards of hospitality, ensuring speed, accuracy, and a positive experience for every customer.

Additionally, the General Manager is responsible for directing team members to fulfill digital orders promptly and accurately, ensuring the restaurant’s dining area remains clean and guest-ready, and ultimately driving the restaurant’s financial success by meeting annual sales and cash flow goals. This role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including lunch, dinner, and weekends, to provide consistent leadership across all hours of operation.

The physical demands of this position include the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, stand and walk for extended periods—up to 10 hours a day—and perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds. The environment includes working with varying temperatures and requires effective communication skills to interact with both the Chipotle team and customers.
