Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Extensive managerial experience in upscale, high-volume restaurant environments
- Proven ability to lead and develop diverse teams
- Strong financial acumen to manage budgets, sales reports, and payroll
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work long shifts usually 10-12 hours and be on feet for extended periods
- Capacity to lift and handle weights up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions from hot kitchens to cold storage
- Basic computer literacy with skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to handle pressure, multitask, maintain focus, and exhibit strong organizational skills
- Commitment to exemplary guest service and brand standards
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Extensive experience leading a high-volume, upscale restaurant
- Wine knowledge required, sommelier experience preferred
- Servsafe Food and Alcohol certification preferred
- Some culinary experience or training advantageous
- Formal business education or restaurant management degree considered a plus
- Above average computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Job Duties
- Conduct facility walk through (interior and exterior) to ensure a clean, safe and guest-friendly atmosphere and ambiance
- Complete administrative office work including answering emails and voicemails, entering sales reports, paying invoices, and checking deliveries
- Review previous day’s sales reports for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Communicate proactively with management team, Regional Vice President, and corporate staff about operational issues
- Review reservations and events scheduled each day to ensure proper staffing
- Perform kitchen and bar line checks to ensure quality and quantity of food products
- Set, submit, and achieve budgeted sales and profit levels, reviewing financial results and taking corrective actions as needed
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to review menu changes, specials, promotions, and contest details with staff
- Provide motivational leadership and communication to ensure commitment to company standards
- Rotate through restaurant stations during service to monitor activities and provide feedback
- Interact regularly with guests to inquire about their meal and resolve any complaints promptly
- Complete closing duties including entering tips, credit cards, payroll, submitting sales reports, and ensuring proper closing procedures
- Facilitate weekly manager’s meetings to review staffing, training needs, and operational objectives
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies from approved vendors
- Plan and follow up on local store marketing and public relations activities to build awareness
- Recruit, hire, train, and provide ongoing training for all restaurant personnel
- Write and conduct annual performance reviews and create individual development plans
- Review banquet and special event plans with the Sales Manager
- Attend training courses and seminars to build skills and knowledge
- Build relationships within the community to promote brand awareness and increase guest traffic
