Job Requirements
- 3-5 years of management experience in the restaurant entertainment or hospitality industry casual dining a plus
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- Demonstrated leadership abilities as evaluated by current general manager area director and vice president
- Business acumen to operate a high-volume business
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Responsible alcohol service and food safety certifications as required
- Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 12 hours and lift 25-50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- 3-5 years of management experience in the restaurant entertainment or hospitality industry casual dining a plus
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- Has successfully demonstrated leadership abilities as evaluated by current General Manager Area Director and Vice President
- Business acumen to operate successfully a high-volume business
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

- Kitchen managers must have current alcohol and food certification that meets state requirements
Job Duties
- Manage restaurant environment ensuring prompt friendly service according to company guidelines
- Breed a culture using the vision and mission statement to guide teamwork results integrity and passion for service fun balance innovation and being guest driven
- Ensure immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints by self and staff
- Maintain adequate inventory levels
- Ensure product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards
- Actively participate in community to increase sales and enhance awareness of Applebee's
- Implement and execute all incentive contests and educate associates on promotions and new menu offerings
- Effectively oversee schedules associates to meet sales demands
- Maintain effective safety and security programs according to company policy and government standards
- Promote and manage restaurant organization cleanliness and sanitation
- Institute preventative maintenance of all equipment and building and immediately correct needed repairs
- Advise AD of any non-routine situations
- Communicate with other managers daily through management log and shift change meetings
- Comply with all labor laws including ensuring associates receive appropriate rest and meal breaks and maintain work hours within company guidelines
- Complete all other assigned duties and responsibilities
- Manage associate performance by ensuring quality recruitment adherence to training procedures maintaining trained staff developing ongoing reviews and written evaluations every six months assessing effectiveness providing candid feedback ensuring correct staffing levels selecting new associates based on competency ensuring exit interviews conduct training discipline conduct meetings ensure compliance with policies timely performance reviews act as coach to all associates
