Job Description

Currently, Crestline Hotels & Resorts is looking for a General Manager for a new construction hotel opening in Allentown. The General Manager role is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing a multi-million dollar business unit and is integral to the success of the hotel. The ideal candidate will bring a commanding presence to the management team, balancing strategic planning and hands-on involvement in day-to-day hotel operations within a fast-paced environment. This role demands an individual with exceptional leadership skills and a passion for delivering unparalleled customer service. The successful General Manager will foster team cohesion by developing associates and maximizing their potential while actively working to maintain and grow market share against local competition. Moreover, this position requires someone adept at building strong professional relationships with hotel ownership, corporate partners, key hotel leaders, and staff, ensuring seamless communication and alignment with Crestline's corporate objectives.
Key aspects of the role include a strong focus on Crestline's key success metrics: Revenue Index, Flex/Flow, and Guest Satisfaction. The General Manager will be expected to influence these metrics positively from the outset, demonstrating their ability to drive revenue growth and operational excellence. Staff optimization is a crucial responsibility, requiring the development and implementation of a leadership plan within the first 30 days to equip all team members with the necessary tools and motivation to provide exceptional service and achieve success. Developing strong connections with hotel ownership and corporate field staff is equally important, alongside fostering fruitful relationships with on-site and regional sales teams to promote effective sales strategies and marketing initiatives.
The ideal General Manager candidate will bring over two years of prior experience as a General Manager in a busy Select Service Hotel or at least four years as an Assistant General Manager. Proficiency in computer and office software is essential to communicate effectively and analyze data from spreadsheets and databases. Previous experience with brand-specific hotel information and accounting systems is required, with a preference for candidates who have worked with premium hotel brands such as Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, or IHG. Job Requirements
- minimum 2 years of general manager experience in select service hotels or 4 years as assistant general manager
- strong computer and office skills including email communication and data manipulation
- experience with brand-specific hotel information and accounting systems
- proven experience in fast-paced hospitality environments
- ability to lead and develop teams effectively
- strong organizational and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- previous experience as a general manager in a busy select service hotel for over 2 years
- or at least 4 years as an assistant general manager
