The position available is for a General Manager who will play a crucial role in the daily operations and overall success of this store. This is a full-time leadership role with a salary of $45,000. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must have the stamina to work a minimum of 50-60 hours a week
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision
- Ability to handle and resolve customer threats and issues
- Ability to handle and resolve employee issues
- Ability to use a personal computer and various software packages such as Word and Excel
- Ability to handle stress and high-volume operations
- Oral and written communication skills
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees, elicit work output and deal with customers
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent training
- Completion of recommended corporate training programs
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- Current automobile insurance
- Clean driving record
- Experience with a retail food company is a plus
Job Duties
- Manage all functions of a Jimmy John's restaurant to ensure exceptional customer service and high quality products are delivered while ensuring restaurant profitability
- Direct the successful execution of fast, accurate sandwiches and world-class customer service while maintaining a clean, organized shift
- Establish the store’s labor goals and staff needs including pay rates
- Manage a staff of approximately 3 to 15 employees and evaluate work
- Manage hiring, training, evaluation, discipline, and termination of employees
- Delegate and control ordering, receipt, storage and issuing of food, labor, equipment, cleaning and paper supplies
- Supervise preparation, sales and service of food
- Order appropriate amounts of food items to meet customer demand
- Ensure that every customer receives world-class service
- Route deliveries and serve drivers to maximize delivery business and speed
- Execute systems and procedures with 100% integrity and completeness
- Complete daily and weekly paperwork
- Maintain 100% control of cash drawers during shifts
- Implement corporate policies
- Control inventory and maintain regular ordering schedules
- Conduct weekly manager meetings
- Audit systems, procedures and shift-ending paperwork
- Arrange for preventive maintenance and upkeep of equipment and supplies
- Perform other related duties as required
- Assist in-shoppers during rush periods
- Assist in greeting customers, taking orders, using cash register, assembling orders and checking accuracy
- Complete daily food preparation such as opening procedures, meat and vegetable slicing, and bread production
