This role is essential to ensuring the smooth daily functioning and success of the restaurant by leading a team typically ranging from 20 to 45 employees, including Assistant Managers, Hourly Shift Coordinators, and Team Members. The RGM works under the guidance of a District Manager, focusing on a strategic approach to meet financial goals and elevate the customer experience through effective leadership and operational oversight.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates passionate about restaurant management and seeking to drive business growth while developing a high-performing team. The RGM has primary accountability for the restaurant's Profit and Loss (P&L) statement and actively manages toward desired financial outcomes by reviewing key P&L lines to boost profitability. The RGM ensures all facets of the restaurant are aligned with achieving maximum profitability and exceptional guest satisfaction.
In terms of guest experience, the RGM leads the team to exceed expectations by ensuring accurate, friendly, and fast service in a clean and welcoming environment. They handle the guest experience meticulously, responding promptly to guest feedback and resolving issues timely. The RGM is also responsible for analyzing guest feedback systems to identify root causes of any concerns, designing and implementing effective action plans to improve overall guest satisfaction. Market engagement is another critical dimension of the role where the RGM interacts with the local community, promoting the restaurant's presence and executing local marketing initiatives to attract prospective guests.
On the people management front, this role emphasizes recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of the restaurant staff. The RGM leads recruitment and selection processes to build a capable and motivated team, guiding new employees through training and certification to ensure proficiency in their duties. They also spearhead recognition programs to inspire the team and provide consistent coaching and feedback to improve capabilities and performance across all levels, from Team Members to Assistant Managers.
Operational responsibilities include managing labor through optimized scheduling and staffing, ensuring compliance with all government regulations, employment laws, and company policies. The RGM maintains operational and brand standards diligently and may perform the duties of Assistant Manager or Hourly Shift Coordinator as required. The position demands flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and the capacity to handle long or irregular shifts for the restaurant's proper operation.
This role requires a candidate with a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for some college education, along with 1 to 2 years of previous restaurant management experience.
