As a General Manager at Wendy's, you are the cornerstone of restaurant leadership and operational excellence. Reporting to a District Manager, you lead the restaurant management team by providing direction, training, and expert guidance to ensure each shift meets its business goals and surpasses customer expectations. This is a full-time leadership role focused on daily operations, staff supervision, customer satisfaction, and financial management. You will be responsible for maintaining financial controls, staff scheduling, recruitment, hiring, training, and ongoing coaching and development of your team. Managing the quality standards around food handling, equipment maintenance, and facility upkeep are critical parts of your responsibilities to ensure health and safety compliance.
You will foster a "Customer First" culture, motivating and inspiring your team to deliver an unforgettable dining experience so guests keep returning. Problem-solving and decision-making are daily activities that require your active involvement and ability to lead by example. Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- able to stand and move for most or all of the shift
- reliable transportation for travel to home store and other locations occasionally
- must be eligible to work in the country
- pass a background investigation
- willing to obtain SERV Safe certification by the end of training
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous management experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry preferred
- strong leadership and team management skills
- excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- ability to train and develop staff
- knowledge of food safety and sanitization procedures
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- willingness to obtain SERV Safe certification
Job Duties
