Job Description

Mo' Bettahs is a well-known restaurant chain that deeply embraces Hawaiian culture and values in its daily operations. The company's core values are Kuleana (Responsibility), Ho'okipa (Hospitality and Aloha), Ho'okuku (Competitiveness), Mo'omeheu (Culture), Miki'oi (Fine Craftsmanship), and Pono (Righteousness). These guiding principles create the foundation for an ideal team player characterized by hunger, kindness, energy, humility, and selflessness. At Mo' Bettahs, there is a strong emphasis on responsibility, celebrating Hawaiian culture, providing personable service, striving to excel, and meticulous attention to detail. The restaurant prides itself on fostering a positive and productive work environment where employees can thrive both professionally and personally.

The role in question is a leadership position within the Mo' Bettahs restaurant team whose main focus is ensuring the successful execution of the brand's daily operations. This position demands versatility and competence in all Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) positions, emphasizing leadership and hands-on management. It includes responsibilities for cleanliness, same store sales growth, and measurement of line speed based on transaction times. The leader also acts as the primary contact for customer service matters, overseeing customer reviews to maintain high standards. Handling the execution of quality food procedures aligned with Mo' Bettahs standards is another key aspect of this role.

The leadership role involves coordinating and leading weekly meetings with key team members, including the Manager in Training, Off-Premise Coordinator, and Certified Trainer. Responsibilities extend to reviewing employee schedules, completing weekly reports such as self-reporting, people PAR staffing guides, online ordering, and inventory, among other tasks. The ideal candidate must have a thorough knowledge of Mo' Bettahs culture and uphold company standards for health, safety, sanitation, security, and appearance. Ensuring that all employees comply with policies as outlined in the employee handbook is also crucial.

This is a full-time position with a base salary ranging from $55,000 to $70,000. Additionally, there is the potential for monthly bonuses up to $1,000, with an annual bonus potential of $13,000, contingent upon achieving store metrics. A monthly stay bonus offers an additional $2,250, totaling an annual potential of $29,250. Employees receive free team member meals and drinks during shifts, as well as discounts for family and friends while off the clock. Comprehensive benefits include health, vision, dental, and life insurance.

Working conditions require physical ability, including seeing, hearing, speaking, climbing stairs, standing or sitting for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, kneeling, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Prolonged computer work is also part of the job. The role demands working effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining sensitivity to medication use and overall wellness to perform essential functions safely and effectively. Stress is a normal aspect of the work and must be managed appropriately.

Mo' Bettahs fosters an inclusive workplace, strictly prohibiting any form of harassment or discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, veteran status, or pregnancy. This commitment to equality supports a diverse and respectful workplace where all employees can contribute and grow meaningfully.
