Job Description

Wendy's is a globally recognized fast-food restaurant chain known for its fresh, high-quality ingredients and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. With a strong presence across various regions, Wendy's continues to innovate and grow, providing a familiar yet exciting dining experience to customers worldwide. Renowned for its square-shaped beef patties, fresh salads, and signature Frosty desserts, Wendy's has established itself as a leader in the quick-service restaurant industry, blending tradition with modern culinary practices.

This opportunity is with Wendy's franchise group operated by Desmond Foods LP and affiliated entities such as Wendy's of Fresno Inc., Wendy's of Santa Clara Inc., and Peninsula Foods LP. These franchises have grown significantly since their inception nearly 50 years ago, starting with the first West Coast Wendy's in Fresno, California. Now overseeing 45 restaurants throughout California, this franchise organization is among the most respected and honored Wendy's franchise operators in the region. Their dedication to exceeding guest expectations in product quality, service, and overall dining experience has been a hallmark since the founding of their franchise agreements with Wendy's founder Dave Thomas.

This role focuses on restaurant management with an emphasis on both operational excellence and team leadership. The ideal candidate will lead by example — driving sales, ensuring that high-quality standards (HQSC standards) are met or exceeded, and cultivating a positive work environment where team members feel valued and supported. The position involves maximizing restaurant sales and profit goals compared to budgeted targets and previous years' performance. Key responsibilities include developing subordinates through effective coaching and training aligned with Wendy's operating systems and corporate culture. The candidate will champion these operating systems, ensuring they are consistently implemented to maintain operational efficiency and a superior guest experience.

A significant component of this leadership role is managing the daily activities of a sizeable team, ranging between 20 and 50 employees, fostering a people-first culture that supports advancement opportunities. Candidates who demonstrate a hands-on coaching approach and possess the ability to train others effectively will thrive in this role. They must also exhibit a 'beat last year's sales' mentality to push the restaurant's performance forward continually.

As part of one of Wendy's franchisees, compensation, benefits, and career advancement structures may vary but typically include competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package. This package generally features health, dental, and vision insurance, a bonus program, vacation pay, a 401K plan with company match, and an employee meal program, emphasizing the company's commitment to employee well-being.

This role requires adherence to Federal, State, and local laws, ensuring the restaurant's operations maintain compliance across all regulatory requirements. It's a fantastic opportunity for motivated leaders who are passionate about the restaurant industry and eager to contribute to a respected and growing franchise organization. To apply, candidates should reach out via the provided email contact and prepare for a rewarding career trajectory with potential advancement within the company.
