Job Description
BKC is a well-established restaurant brand known for its commitment to quality, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence. As a leading player in the quick-service restaurant industry, BKC has built a strong reputation for delivering a delightful dining experience through its wide range of classic and innovative menu offerings. The company values a culture of teamwork, integrity, and continuous improvement, making it an attractive employer for individuals passionate about the foodservice sector. BKC emphasizes the importance of community engagement and local marketing efforts, fostering relationships with guests and the surrounding neighborhood to strengthen its brand presence.
The role of Restaurant General Manager (RGM) at BKC is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily restaurant operations. Reporting directly to the District Manager, the RGM manages a team that typically includes an Assistant Manager, Hourly Shift Coordinators, and 20-45 Team Members. This position is focused on driving profitability, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, fostering team development, and maintaining operational standards. The RGM is accountable for the restaurant's Profit & Loss (P&L) performance, requiring a strong understanding of financial metrics to analyze key profit drivers and implement effective strategies that enhance sales and control costs.
In this capacity, the RGM plays a pivotal role in motivating and directing team members to deliver accurate, friendly, and timely service in a clean and welcoming environment. Handling guest feedback with a proactive approach, the manager identifies root causes of issues and spearheads corrective action plans to improve satisfaction. Moreover, the RGM engages with the local community to promote the restaurant and execute targeted marketing initiatives that attract new customers.
People management is a cornerstone of the RGM's responsibilities. The role involves recruiting, selecting, and onboarding new employees while ensuring they complete the necessary training and certification processes. Recognition and coaching are equally important, as the RGM inspires the team through individual and group acknowledgment programs, providing constructive feedback to enhance skills and elevate restaurant performance.
Operational duties include managing labor schedules efficiently by optimizing manager staffing and hourly team member shifts. The RGM enforces compliance with all government regulations, employment laws, and company policies, guaranteeing that the restaurant adheres to the highest operational and brand standards. When required, the RGM may also perform the tasks of the Assistant Manager or Hourly Shift Coordinator to support smooth restaurant functioning.
This full-time position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma or equivalent (college education preferred), and have 1-2 years of experience in restaurant management. Strong leadership abilities, expertise in P&L management, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of guest service principles are essential for success in this role. BKC is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and encourages all qualified applicants to apply.
