Job Requirements

  • Education at four-year college degree level or equivalent
  • Proven management experience in hotel operations
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Knowledge of hotel property management systems and computer skills
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical capability to perform standing, walking, climbing, lifting, and other mobility tasks as required
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and positive work relationships
  • Ability to handle emergency procedures and safety compliance
  • Willingness to engage in occasional overnight business travel

Job Qualifications

  • A four-year college degree or equivalent training in hotel department head positions
  • Proven management experience in the hospitality industry
  • Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English
  • Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills
  • Knowledge of hotel property management systems
  • Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and email
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret written and oral instructions
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Develop, administer, and control hotel revenue and expense budgets
  • Analyze profit and loss and general ledger statements
  • Handle top and target accounts and participate in joint sales calls
  • Provide input and approve the hotel marketing plan and review weekly
  • Hire, train, counsel, and motivate management and hourly employees
  • Conduct performance appraisals and manage employee disciplinary procedures
  • Meet with guests to solicit feedback and monitor guest satisfaction
  • Review and approve hotel payroll and manage accounts receivable
  • Inspect rooms, property grounds, and exterior buildings for cleanliness and maintenance
  • Manage capital improvement projects and outside contractors
  • Maintain compliance with safety and company procedures and participate in community relations
  • Respond to regional manager requests and perform other duties as assigned
