Job Description
Wendy's is a leading international fast-food restaurant chain that has been serving quality food and exceptional customer service since its inception. Known for its fresh, made-to-order menu items such as square-shaped hamburgers, fresh salads, and frostys, Wendy's has carved out a reputation for quality and innovation in the fast-food industry. This establishment operates under a franchise business model, allowing entrepreneurs to own and operate restaurants which contribute uniquely to their local communities while upholding the Wendy's brand standards. The 202 Southwest Pkwy E location in College Station, TX, is part of this expansive network of franchises dedicated to delivering an outstanding dining experience to customers.
The role of General Manager at Wendy's is pivotal, serving as the leader of the restaurant management team. As General Manager, you will provide direction, training, and expertise necessary to exceed customer expectations and achieve business objectives during each shift. Reporting to a District Manager, you are responsible for the restaurant’s daily operations, which includes maintaining financial controls, managing staff schedules, and overseeing hiring, training, and orientation of new team members. Additionally, the General Manager ensures food safety, facility management, and compliance with health and safety inspections and standards. This full-time position offers a competitive salary with monthly bonuses, reflecting the critical role of leadership within the company.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to foster a customer-first culture while cultivating and developing your team through coaching and counseling. The position requires a hands-on approach to managing operations, including standing and moving throughout shifts, using restaurant equipment such as headsets, registers, and grills, and maintaining cleanliness and brand standards. Important certifications like SERV Safe are mandatory to ensure food safety and quality standards are upheld. The company emphasizes career growth opportunities, providing paid training programs designed to prepare managers to lead according to the Wendy's Way. Additional perks include employee discounts, meals while at work, and comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision plans, and a 401(k) with employer match.
Wendy's values diversity and inclusion and is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities. The General Manager role requires not only operational acumen but strong leadership qualities to build and sustain a high-performing team environment. You must be at least 21 years old, possess reliable transportation, and be eligible to work in the country. This opportunity with one of Wendy's franchisees offers a dynamic work environment where operational expertise, customer service excellence, and team development come together to ensure the restaurant's success and the satisfaction of every guest that walks through the door.
