Job Description
Desmond Foods LP, Wendy's of Fresno Inc., Wendy's of Santa Clara Inc., and Peninsula Foods LP represent some of the most honored Wendy's franchise organizations in California. Established nearly 50 years ago when the first Wendy's opened on the West Coast in Fresno, California, these organizations have expanded to operate 45 restaurants throughout the state. Founded on the principles set by Joseph F. Desmond, who personally signed the first franchise agreement with Wendy's founder Dave Thomas, these companies have upheld a strong commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Their mission focuses on exceeding guests' expectations in product quality, customer service, and overall ambiance, which has driven their sustained growth and reputation.
These organizations embrace a culture rooted in leadership, trust, loyalty, teamwork, and commitment. This culture fosters a fulfilling work environment where career development and advancement opportunities thrive for all employees. Desmond Foods LP and its associated Wendy's franchises emphasize people-first values, understanding that the success of their restaurants depends heavily on motivated and well-supported staff.
The role available at these Wendy's franchises is a management opportunity designed for a motivated leader passionate about driving sales growth and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maximizing restaurant sales and profit goals compared to budgeted targets and previous years’ performance. They must ensure that HQSC (High Quality Service and Cleanliness) standards are consistently met or exceeded, reflecting the company's unwavering commitment to quality.
This position involves developing subordinates by providing proper concept training and building a reliable bench of future leaders within the restaurant. The person in this role will champion Wendy's operating systems, promoting efficiency, consistency, and customer satisfaction. Leadership skills are paramount, as the candidate must effectively lead and direct daily activities of a team ranging from 20 to 50 employees.
Candidates can expect to be part of a people-first culture that prioritizes employee well-being and professional growth. The company offers competitive pay as well as comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance. There is also a bonus program to reward exemplary performance, paid vacation, a 401K program with company matching contributions, and an employee meal program. These benefits collectively provide a supportive environment designed to attract and retain top talent.
The position emphasizes a 'beat last year’s sales' mentality, encouraging a proactive, results-driven approach to management. Successful candidates will be hands-on coaches capable of effectively training others, ensuring that both individual team members and the restaurant as a whole reach their potential. Compliance with federal, state, and local laws is mandatory, underscoring the importance of integrity and responsibility in this role.
This job opportunity is offered through one of Wendy's many independent franchisees. It is important to note that franchise organizations manage their own compensation, benefits, and career programs, which may vary from company-owned locations. Interested applicants are invited to visit the Wendy’s job portal to apply directly, ensuring alignment with specific franchise guidelines.
