Job Description
This job posting is for a restaurant position at a McDonald's franchise owned and operated by an independent franchisee, separate from McDonald's USA. The franchisee holds the license to use McDonald's logos and food products and manages the day-to-day operations of the restaurant independently. As such, all employment matters including hiring, firing, staffing, scheduling, discipline, and supervision are handled exclusively by the franchisee, not McDonald's USA. This distinction is vital for applicants to understand, as McDonald's USA does not influence employment decisions or receive applications for this position.
The restaurant offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment. It is well-established within the quick service restaurant (QSR) industry, focusing on delivering quality food, exceptional customer service, and maintaining high cleanliness standards. Working here means being part of a committed team that values energy, purpose, and personal development. The restaurant provides opportunities for personal growth and advancement, supported by comprehensive training, coaching, and leadership development programs.
The role on offer is that of General Manager, a pivotal leadership position responsible for running a profitable restaurant while ensuring the highest standards of quality, service, and cleanliness are consistently met. The General Manager works closely with their leader to establish clear, achievable goals and develops strategic plans to meet these objectives. Central to this role is leading a team of Department Managers, guiding them to set their own performance targets, monitoring their progress, and providing support and coaching to enhance their departments' performance.
A successful candidate will be responsible for staffing the restaurant with capable leaders, including Department and Shift Managers, to ensure smooth operations and a strong team culture. Ideal candidates bring previous experience managing high-volume locations, preferably within the quick service restaurant industry, hospitality, or retail sectors. The position requires candidates to be at least 18 years old to qualify for a managerial role in corporate-owned and operated restaurants.
This role not only demands operational excellence but also focuses on fostering a work environment where employees can thrive, develop skills, and have fun. It promotes flexibility in scheduling, allowing team members to choose hours that fit their lifestyle while encouraging continuous learning and the pursuit of further education.
In addition to a competitive salary, the franchisee offers an attractive benefits package designed to support employees' well-being and future aspirations. Benefits include paid vacation, paid holidays, sabbatical opportunities after a decade of service, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, and various insurance options. The restaurant also supports employees through education initiatives like Archways to Opportunity, which offers assistance in earning high school diplomas, college tuition aid, and English language classes. Additional perks include paid leaves of absence, service awards, adoption assistance, retirement benefits, and programs that encourage community engagement and charitable giving.
This position represents an excellent opportunity for driven individuals looking to lead a team, grow professionally, and make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Candidates will be joining a respected brand known worldwide, but working within a locally managed franchise committed to its employees' success and well-being. This job is more than just employment; it’s a chance to build a satisfying career with continuous opportunities to advance and develop new skills.
