Although the restaurant carries the McDonald’s name, it is independently managed with its own hiring, staffing, scheduling, and operational processes separate from McDonald’s USA. The role of General Manager is vital to the restaurant’s success and day-to-day operations. The General Manager leads the overall experience including food production, guest service, and employee oversight. They proactively manage all people processes such as recruiting, hiring, onboarding, staffing, performance management, and employee training and motivation. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in restaurant management or related leadership role
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and inventory
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to motivate and develop a team

Job Duties

  • Lead the experience by managing all aspects within the restaurant including food production guest service and experience and direct crew and manager work
  • Plan for success by proactively leading and managing all people processes including recruiting hiring and onboarding staffing performance management and train coach and motivate
  • Be in the know by planning for and making critical business decisions around inventory budget and food ordering costs
  • Take action first by ensuring food safety measures are set and achieved to McDonald’s standards of excellence
  • Inspire and empower by maintaining high level of standard for guest and employee safety
  • Be results oriented by overseeing all operational needs of the restaurant including maintenance plans to meet and exceed standards of excellence
