The General Manager role at Wendy's involves direct oversight of the restaurant’s daily operations under the guidance of a District Manager. This pivotal leadership position carries the responsibility of not only managing the financial aspects of the restaurant such as budgeting and cost controls but also leading the team effectively to create a productive and positive working environment. The General Manager is tasked with ensuring smooth scheduling and staffing by interviewing, hiring, training, and orienting new team members while continuously developing and coaching the staff to maintain high performance standards.

This role demands attention to critical areas including food safety, equipment maintenance, and facility management to guarantee compliance with health and safety regulations. The General Manager is the driving force behind meeting and exceeding health inspections and most importantly ensuring the customer experience is exemplary by striving for operational efficiency and team engagement. Job Requirements

  • 2 years plus RGM experience
  • flexibility to work 50-55 hours per week, rotating shifts, include weekends and holidays
  • valid DL in good standing and access to private transportation
  • consent to background screening, including criminal and driving record
  • HS diploma or equivalent and possess all required documents by state and federal law
  • able to walk and stand for long periods
  • able to lift to 50 pounds
  • demonstrated leadership ability
  • excellent problem solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage a team in a fast-paced environment
  • excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
  • results oriented and customer service focused
  • 2 years plus RGM experience with high volume food service concepts preferred

Job Duties

  • Maintain day-to-day financial controls
  • create and manage staff schedules
  • interview, hire, train and orientate team
  • oversee coaching, counseling, and developing staff and managing team relations
  • exercise proper food handling, equipment maintenance and facility management
  • ensure health and safety inspections and standards are met
