Job Description
Desmond Foods LP, along with Wendy's of Fresno Inc., Wendy's of Santa Clara Inc., and Peninsula Foods LP, represent some of the most respected Wendy's franchise organizations in California, with nearly 50 years of history since their first Wendy's location opened on the West Coast in Fresno, California. These franchise entities have grown to operate 45 restaurants throughout California, each committed to maintaining the high standards and legacy established by Wendy's founder Dave Thomas and Desmond Foods' founder Joseph F. Desmond. Their mission is focused on exceeding guests' expectations in terms of product quality, service excellence, and an overall outstanding dining experience.
The company's culture promotes leadership, trust, loyalty, teamwork, and commitment, creating a fulfilling work environment where employees can thrive. They emphasize growth and career advancement opportunities for every team member, underscoring their people-first approach which promotes a supportive and motivating atmosphere. The commitment to both employee satisfaction and guest delight is the cornerstone of their continued success and expansion in the foodservice industry.
This role is a leadership position at a held Wendy's franchise, centered around managing restaurant operations to maximize sales and profits, surpassing budget goals and prior year results. The successful candidate will champion Wendy's operating systems and ensure that HQSC (Headquarters Service and Cleanliness) standards are met or exceeded, guaranteeing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both guests and employees. An essential focus is on developing subordinates and building a strong bench of talent through proper concept training and hands-on coaching. As a hands-on leader, you will be responsible for guiding the daily activities of 20-50 employees, fostering a people-first culture while driving operational excellence.
Because this position is with a Wendy's franchisee, compensation, benefits, and career progression programs might vary relative to company-owned locations. However, candidates can expect competitive pay, a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, and additional perks like a bonus program, vacation pay, a 401K program with company match, and an employee meal program. This role demands a leader who exemplifies a people-first mentality, consistently pushes to beat last year’s sales figures, and maintains compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
If you are passionate about leading teams in a fast-paced, dynamic restaurant environment, committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences, and motivated by growth opportunities, this Wendy's franchise leadership role is an excellent fit. Candidates looking to grow their careers within a company dedicated to its employees and guests are encouraged to apply through the provided application portal, where the journey to becoming an integral part of one of California's most honored Wendy’s organizations begins.
