Job Description
Desmond Foods LP, along with Wendy's of Fresno Inc., Wendy's of Santa Clara Inc., and Peninsula Foods LP, represent some of the most respected Wendy's franchise organizations on the West Coast. Starting nearly 50 years ago with the opening of the first Wendy's restaurant in Fresno, California, these organizations have expanded to operate 45 locations throughout California. They embody a proud heritage linked directly to the founders of Wendy's, with Joseph F. Desmond signing the first franchise agreement alongside Dave Thomas, the founder of Wendy's. This legacy affirms their commitment to quality and authentic Wendy's experience.
These franchises are dedicated to upholding the mission of exceeding guests' expectations in product quality, service excellence, and the overall dining experience. They emphasize leadership, trust, loyalty, teamwork, and commitment as foundational values that foster a positive and fulfilling work environment. Employees at these organizations enjoy numerous opportunities for growth and career advancement, ensuring that each individual is valued and supported throughout their professional journey.
The available leadership role within these Wendy's franchises is pivotal in maximizing restaurant sales and achieving profit goals while maintaining or exceeding the Wendy's High Quality Standards of Cleanliness (HQSC). The ideal candidate will develop subordinate employees, build a strong talent bench, and implement comprehensive training programs aligned with Wendy's operational concepts. This position requires a dynamic, people-first leader dedicated to fostering a culture of strong performance and collaboration.
In this leadership capacity, you can expect a people-focused culture that prioritizes employee well-being and professional development. The role offers competitive pay, along with health, dental, and vision insurance benefits to support your overall health needs. Additionally, employees can participate in a bonus program that rewards success and performance, vacation pay to ensure work-life balance, and a 401K program with company match to help secure your financial future. An employee meal program is also provided, enhancing the overall employee experience.
Successful candidates are expected to embody a hands-on coaching style, capable of effectively training staff while leading and directing the daily activities of teams ranging from 20 to 50 employees. They will operate with a mindset aimed at surpassing the previous year's sales figures and will ensure strict compliance with Federal, State, and local laws. This role requires a strong commitment to the Wendy's operating systems and standards, championing these frameworks to maintain consistent quality and operational excellence.
This job opportunity is offered by one of Desmond Foods' many independently owned and operated Wendy's franchises. Compensation, benefits, and career development programs may vary from those available at company-owned locations. For those interested in joining this premier franchise organization and contributing to its ongoing success, applications can be submitted through the Wendy's career portal.
