Job Description
Wendy's is a globally recognized fast-food restaurant chain renowned for its quality fresh food, friendly service, and innovative menu offerings. Founded in 1969, Wendy's has grown into one of the largest quick-service restaurant brands worldwide with thousands of locations serving millions of customers daily. The company prides itself on its commitment to using fresh, never frozen beef and maintaining high food quality standards. Wendy's has built a reputation not just for the quality of its products but also for its vibrant team culture, focusing on delivering an exceptional dining experience to every guest. The restaurant operates both company-owned and numerous franchised locations, offering varied career paths and advancement opportunities.
One of the critical leadership roles at Wendy's is the General Manager (GM). This position is responsible for the overall operational success of a Wendy's restaurant, overseeing everything from guest satisfaction to fiscal management. The GM acts as a pivotal figure ensuring the seamless day-to-day operations of the establishment. This includes supervising staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards, managing inventory, and driving sales growth. The GM is also accountable for controlling costs, maintaining compliance with company policies, and creating a positive work environment. This role requires a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can efficiently coordinate team efforts, and is passionate about delivering superior customer service.
The General Manager position is a full-time employment opportunity typically found under franchise ownership such as Tinsley Bridgeman, an affiliate of several restaurant concepts committed to honesty, integrity, and open communication. The franchise places strong emphasis on diversity, inclusion, and employee development, with a significant proportion of its managers having advanced through hourly positions. The GM role involves leadership and mentoring responsibilities to foster team growth and success. Candidates will find a challenging yet rewarding environment where they can leverage their management expertise and help shape the restaurant's success.
Career growth and employee benefits are key components that Wendy's and its franchisees prioritize. The company offers competitive compensation packages supported by incentives such as bonuses and employee recognition programs. In addition, there are numerous benefits designed to support employees both professionally and personally, including medical, dental, vision coverage, life insurance, education assistance, and retirement plans. Wendy's also provides employees with early wage access enabling financial flexibility. Beyond benefits, flexible scheduling and a positive, respectful work culture contribute to an excellent quality of life for the General Manager.
