Job Description
Wendy's is a globally recognized fast-food restaurant chain known for its fresh, high-quality ingredients, and commitment to customer satisfaction. Founded in 1969, Wendy's has grown to become the third-largest hamburger fast-food chain in the world, with thousands of locations across the United States and internationally. Wendy's prides itself on its signature square-shaped beef patties, made-to-order meals, and a diverse menu that ranges from classic hamburgers and fries to salads and beverages. The company is dedicated to maintaining a strong brand identity built on friendly service, quality food, and community involvement.
Wendy's franchisee at 1722 North Main, Pearland, TX 77581 is currently seeking a skilled and motivated General Manager to lead the restaurant management team. As a General Manager under the direction of a District Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, driving financial performance, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. This role is a full-time position, offering competitive pay with monthly bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision plan options, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, and a 401(k) with employer match.
The General Manager position at Wendy's is pivotal for the success of the restaurant. You will provide direction, training, and leadership to ensure that the team delivers outstanding service and exceeds customer expectations every shift. Key responsibilities include maintaining daily financial controls, managing staff schedules, interviewing, hiring, training and orienting new employees, and overseeing staff coaching, counseling, and development. In addition, you will be accountable for ensuring proper food handling, equipment maintenance, and facility management, including health and safety inspections and standards compliance.
Wendy's is committed to career growth and development, offering its employees extensive training and advancement opportunities within and beyond the restaurant. As a General Manager, you will have the chance to grow your leadership skills and manage operations that impact both employee satisfaction and financial success. The role requires someone who thrives in problem-solving, decision-making, and fostering a "Customer First" mindset among team members. Your ability to lead by example, promote a culture of food safety, and balance high-quality employee and guest experiences with operational metrics is essential.
This position requires physical stamina, as the General Manager must be able to stand and move for most of the shift and operate restaurant equipment such as headsets, registers, and grills. You will also need to adhere strictly to Wendy's brand standards and guidelines, ensuring that food preparation, customer service, and restaurant cleanliness meet company expectations. Candidates must obtain or already have ServSafe certification by the end of training and have reliable transportation to travel occasionally to other restaurant locations or the area office.
Wendy's values diversity and inclusion and is an equal opportunity employer. Qualified applicants will receive consideration regardless of age, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin. HAZA Foods, the franchisee for this location, may provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. The role is open to candidates aged 21 and older who are eligible to work in the country and can successfully pass a background check.
Joining Wendy's means becoming part of a respected fast-food brand that cares about its people, the communities it serves, and the quality of its products.
