Job Description

Wendy's is a renowned fast-food restaurant chain celebrated for its commitment to serving fresh, high-quality food and providing exceptional customer service. Established as a leader in the quick-service restaurant industry, Wendy's prides itself on its fresh, never frozen beef and a menu designed to satisfy a broad range of tastes. As a globally recognized brand, Wendy's maintains a strong presence across numerous locations, combining tradition with innovation to create a unique and beloved dining experience.

Wendy's operates through both company-owned and franchise locations, allowing local entrepreneurs to bring the brand's values and quality to their communities. Each restaurant focuses on creating a welcoming atmosphere where customers feel treated like family, ensuring every customer visit is memorable. The organizational culture at Wendy's emphasizes teamwork, leadership, and a shared commitment to excellence in food quality and customer satisfaction.

The General Manager (GM) role at Wendy's is crucial to the successful operation of each restaurant. The GM is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant’s daily operations, including managing both people and processes to ensure the delivery of fresh food and great service consistently. This leadership role demands a proactive manager who is deeply invested in upholding Wendy's high standards and driving the team to execute their duties with precision.

As a Wendy's GM, you will lead a motivated team, including Shift Managers and Crew Members, coaching and mentoring them to improve their performance and ensure each shift outperforms the last. Your responsibilities extend beyond operational management to include driving sales growth and profit optimization, thereby contributing directly to the restaurant’s financial success. Managing inventory, maintaining food safety standards, and handling customer relations effectively are also key components of your leadership role.

Additionally, the GM role requires flexibility and adaptability, including the ability to travel to other locations as needed and manage the various demands of a fast-paced foodservice environment. Physical requirements such as standing for extended periods and handling manual tasks underline the hands-on nature of the position.

Wendy's offers competitive compensation for General Managers, with a salary range of $50,000 to $65,000 annually. In addition to salary, the position comes with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees’ health and financial security, as well as opportunities for personal and professional growth.

This opportunity is located at 343 Folly Rd., James Island, SC, and is part of an independently owned franchise, which means benefits and compensation packages may vary. Wendy's is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds and providing accommodations to support employees with disabilities. Joining Wendy's as a General Manager means becoming part of a family that values your leadership and dedication to delivering excellent food and service every day.
