Job Description

Desmond Foods LP, along with Wendy's of Fresno Inc., Wendy's of Santa Clara Inc., and Peninsula Foods LP, are leading franchise organizations of Wendy's restaurants in California. Starting from the humble beginnings nearly 50 years ago with the first Wendy's on the West Coast in Fresno, these organizations have grown to operate 45 restaurants throughout the state. The franchises are independently owned and operated, committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences through quality products, superior service, and a welcoming dining atmosphere. Founded on the principles instilled by Joseph F. Desmond, who personally signed the first franchise agreement with Wendy's founder Dave Thomas, these companies live by a mission to surpass expectations in all aspects of the Wendy's brand experience.

The leadership teams at these organizations focus on fostering a workplace environment grounded in leadership, trust, loyalty, teamwork, and dedicated commitment to both employees and guests. Employees are encouraged to grow professionally with access to career advancement opportunities. The supportive company culture emphasizes a people-first philosophy where staff members are valued and nurtured. With a strong operational foundation, these organizations also ensure compliance with laws and regulations relevant to the business.

The current role offers a chance to be part of this thriving Wendy’s franchise group, contributing to the continued success and expansion of these highly respected franchises. The position emphasizes maximizing restaurant sales and profitability compared to budget and prior year results, ensuring all HQSC (High Quality Service and Cleanliness) standards are met or exceeded. Successful candidates will champion Wendy’s operating systems, leading by example and developing subordinates through effective training programs to build a strong team bench.

In this leadership position, you will embrace a hands-on coaching style, directly influencing the daily operations of teams comprising 20 to 50 employees. The ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce, along with a dedication to fostering a people-first culture, is essential. The organization rewards those who consistently exceed prior sales performances and align with the company’s vision for high standards. Candidates will be expected to uphold all federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a positive and productive work environment.

This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic fast-food environments and aspire to grow their managerial careers within a well-established franchise system. As part of the team, you can expect competitive compensation, health benefits, and a bonus structure designed to reward strong performance. The position also offers other valuable benefits such as dental and vision insurance, vacation pay, and 401K program with company match, underscoring the company’s commitment to employee well-being and financial security. Additionally, the employee meal program is a part of the benefits package, providing staff with quality meals during shifts.

Working for one of these franchise locations means becoming part of a reputable brand that is recognized nationally for quality and customer service excellence. The franchises have established themselves as market leaders in their regions, and joining the team offers a meaningful opportunity to impact restaurant success positively. Whether you are an experienced manager or an individual ready to advance your leadership skills in the hospitality industry, this role provides a promising career path with extensive training and support.
