Renowned for its commitment to exceptional culinary experiences and outstanding hospitality, this establishment has built a strong reputation as a go-to destination for food enthusiasts and community alike. The restaurant blends innovative baking techniques with a sophisticated dining atmosphere, making it a standout in the bustling San Francisco food scene. As a full-time, exempt position offering a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $130,000 based on experience, this opportunity comes with relocation assistance, emphasizing the company’s dedication to attracting top-tier talent across the country.
The role of General Manager is integral to the continued success and operational excellence of this high-volume hospitality-driven restaurant and bakery concept. The General Manager will serve as the frontline leader, spearheading day-to-day management activities while inspiring a culture of hospitality, accountability, and collaboration among the team. This position demands a candidate who is not only highly organized and emotionally intelligent but also passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering team growth. Under this role, leadership extends beyond mere supervision; it involves actively engaging with guests, responding proactively to feedback, and making real-time service adjustments to uphold service standards.
The General Manager will oversee all facets of restaurant and bakery operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house functions, ensuring all areas maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations. Operational efficiency will be driven by implementing robust systems and fostering clear communication channels among departments. A crucial component of this role involves managing vendor relations and facility maintenance to ensure smooth operational continuity. Financial stewardship is another significant responsibility, requiring oversight of P&L management, labor scheduling, inventory control, and cost management. This includes analyzing sales and financial data to devise strategies that drive revenue growth and operational profitability.
Team development is a core focus area. The General Manager will recruit, hire, train, coach, and mentor both management and hourly staff, building structured training programs that promote professional growth and high retention rates. This role supports leadership development and succession planning to sustain a vibrant workplace culture centered on positivity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Strategically, the General Manager will contribute to new restaurant openings and company-wide initiatives, partnering cross-functionally with culinary, operational, and human resources teams to maintain brand integrity and innovate service models. This leadership position offers not only a rewarding salary but also comprehensive benefits including health coverage, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and various employee perks, all within a supportive and dynamic hospitality organization committed to equal opportunity and inclusion.
