The General Manager position at Wendy's is a full-time, exempt role requiring approximately 40 hours per week, situated at the Wendy's location in Richland, MS. This position is critical to driving the restaurant's success by ensuring the store meets established standards, sales targets, local marketing initiatives, and profitability goals. The General Manager's responsibilities encompass staffing, training, store operations, and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels. In addition to overseeing daily restaurant functions, the General Manager is expected to develop and execute local marketing plans, respond to competitive challenges, and drive improvements in sales performance. The role demands a strong leadership presence to manage both the management team and crew members effectively, ensuring adequate staffing levels and appropriate personnel development.

In managing store operations, the General Manager is accountable for setting and meeting budget goals, controlling costs, and analyzing financial performance through tools such as profit and loss analysis and operating budgets. They are tasked with implementing procedures for quality, service, cleanliness, and employee training to uphold Wendy's standards. This includes conducting regular inspections, resolving customer complaints promptly, and fostering a positive work environment that encourages performance excellence and employee retention. The General Manager also plays a pivotal role in managing labor efficiency, inventory control, and adhering to company policies and state regulations related to health, safety, and labor laws.

Further responsibilities include mentoring, training, and developing store personnel to foster career growth and operational proficiency. The General Manager must ensure compliance with all corporate policies, safety procedures, and security measures, maintaining strong communication with district management and other team members. Physical requirements for the role include the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, work in varying temperature environments, and travel between multiple store locations as needed.
