Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years hotel management experience
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods
  • Capable of light lifting or carrying
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and stressful environments
  • Responsive to multiple task interruptions
  • Flexibility in work hours and days
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license
  • Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Full knowledge of hotel management and operations
  • Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or Business is a plus
  • Equivalent experience is acceptable
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as Hotel General Manager or equivalent hotel management role
  • Strong knowledge of hotel management and operations
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Good analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Proficient in computer software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access

Job Duties

  • Manage daily hotel operations to achieve revenue and profit goals
  • Provide leadership, training, and support to hotel employees
  • Conduct market analysis and forecast local market conditions
  • Support sales efforts in coordination with management and corporate sales
  • Train front desk staff in selling techniques and current promotions
  • Manage budgets by forecasting expenses and controlling labor costs
  • Handle guest complaints and ensure high guest satisfaction
  • Train and develop employees in accordance with HR programs
  • Oversee quality assurance and maintenance of hotel physical assets
  • Respond to employee satisfaction surveys and take corrective actions
