The General Manager role at DO & CO's Detroit (DTW) location is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the site. This role focuses on providing strong guidance and support to section managers and ensuring an efficient allocation of staff across all departments. The General Manager will ensure timely and accurate dispatch of flights with adherence to stringent quality, safety, and regulatory standards, including compliance with health, safety, and food regulations. This position requires a strategic, hands-on leader who excels at fostering collaboration among department heads and developing solutions to operational challenges. Furthermore, the General Manager will represent DO & CO in all internal and external communications, ensuring the company's distinguished reputation is upheld.

Key responsibilities include maintaining high-quality production standards, overseeing operational processes to comply with critical control points, and aligning organizational policies with regulatory requirements from airlines, airports, and ports. The role demands diligent financial oversight, including tracking key performance metrics, conducting cost and scenario analyses, forecasting demand, and implementing risk management strategies. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Provide guidance and support to Section Managers on all internal employee relations matters maintaining a consistent people-focused approach at all times
  • Ensure proper staff allocation to maximize efficiency in all departments
  • Ensure the effective dispatch of all flights to our customers with accurate specifications
  • Monitor production departments to ensure that quality is maintained at its highest level with maximum efficiency in accordance with DO CO regulations
  • Oversee all quality aspects of the operations process to ensure adherence to all relevant Critical Control Points Health and Safety Food safety and all legal requirements
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with all department Heads while simultaneously making sure any problems have an implemented solution
  • Represent DO CO daily with all external and external communications
