Job Description
Desmond Foods LP and its associated entities, Wendy's of Fresno Inc., Wendy's of Santa Clara Inc., and Peninsula Foods LP, represent a prominent Wendy's franchise organization operating in California with a deep-rooted history spanning nearly 50 years. Originating from the opening of the first Wendy's restaurant on the West Coast in Fresno, California, these franchisees have expanded their footprint to 45 restaurants across the state. Known for their commitment to excellence, they have earned recognition as some of the most honored Wendy's franchise operations. The franchise was founded on a partnership between Joseph F. Desmond, who signed the initial franchise agreement with Wendy's founder Dave Thomas, establishing a legacy focused on outstanding guest experiences.
These organizations prioritize exceeding customer expectations through quality product offerings, exceptional service, and a warm dining atmosphere. Central to their philosophy is fostering leadership, trust, loyalty, teamwork, and commitment among their staff, creating a supportive and fulfilling workplace environment. Employees are encouraged to develop their skills and advance their careers within these companies, facilitated by structured training programs and opportunities for growth. Emphasizing a people-first culture, these franchises strive to empower their team members, ensuring every employee feels valued and respected.
The role offered within this franchise network involves leadership and operational responsibilities aimed at maximizing restaurant sales and profits compared to budget goals and prior year performance. It requires meeting or exceeding high standards set by Wendy's quality, service, cleanliness, and operations systems. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing subordinate employees, building a talent bench, and providing concept training that aligns with Wendy's operational excellence.
As a leader in this role, you will champion the Wendy's operating systems, ensuring consistency and quality across all aspects of the restaurant's operation. This includes overseeing daily activities for groups of 20 to 50 employees, coaching, and training to enhance team performance, and fostering a sales-driven environment that seeks to improve upon past results. The candidate must possess a hands-on coaching mentality, capable of effectively training and leading others with a people-first leadership approach.
Working within these franchises offers a competitive compensation package with benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, a bonus program, vacation pay, and a 401K program with company match. Employees also enjoy an employee meal program, highlighting the company’s commitment to taking care of its staff. This opportunity provides a chance for meaningful career advancement in a supportive environment where employee contributions are recognized and rewarded.
Please note that this job opportunity is with an independently owned and operated Wendy's franchisee, and compensation, benefits, and career programs may vary from company-owned locations. Candidates seeking a challenging and rewarding leadership role within a reputable and established restaurant franchise are encouraged to apply and become part of a long-standing team dedicated to delivering exceptional service and growth.
