Job Description
Wendy's is a globally recognized fast-food restaurant chain known for its fresh, high-quality ingredients and a commitment to superior customer service. Established decades ago, Wendy's has maintained its position as one of the leading hamburger fast-food brands by continually innovating its menu and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for both customers and employees. Wendy's franchise model enables independent operators to bring the brand's exceptional dining experience to local communities, ensuring adherence to the core values and standards that Wendy's represents.
This particular job opportunity is offered by a distinguished Wendy's franchise organization operating in California, including Desmond Foods LP, Wendy's of Fresno Inc., Wendy's of Santa Clara Inc., and Peninsula Foods LP. These franchisees have a rich history spanning nearly 50 years, beginning with the first Wendy's on the West Coast in Fresno, California. Over the years, they have expanded to operate 45 restaurants throughout the state. These organizations pride themselves on leadership, loyalty, teamwork, and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations with regard to product quality, service delivery, and the dining experience.
The role in focus is a leadership position within one of these franchise restaurants, essential for driving operational excellence and sales growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing restaurant sales and profits against budgets and prior year performance, ensuring that all high-quality standards set by Wendy's Headquarters and Service Committee (HQSC) are met or exceeded. A key aspect of this role is the development of subordinates and building a strong team through effective training aligned with Wendy's concept and operating systems.
As a people-first leader, the candidate will be expected to coach and lead a team of 20 to 50 employees through hands-on management, fostering a positive culture that promotes employee growth and advancement. The manager must embrace a 'beat last year's sales' mentality, driving motivation across the team to continually improve sales and operational efficiency. Additionally, the role demands strict compliance with federal, state, and local laws to maintain a safe and lawful working environment.
Working with these Wendy's franchises offers many benefits, including competitive pay, health, dental, and vision insurance, a bonus program, vacation pay, a 401K program with company match, and an employee meal program. The franchise organizations emphasize a people-first culture, encouraging career advancement and personal development in a fulfilling workplace. It is important to note that as these are independently owned franchises, compensation, benefits, and career programs may vary from company-owned Wendy's locations.
Applicants interested in joining this dynamic team are encouraged to visit the specified Wendy's career website to apply. This role represents a fantastic opportunity for experienced leaders who are passionate about the food service industry, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and are committed to driving both employee and customer satisfaction to new heights.
